Original watercolour and pen drawing of a red rock crab, Cancer productus - a common species found along the Pacific Northwest coast. Generally smaller in size and often less sought after than its cousin, the Dungeness, the red rock crab is still a sweet treat for fishermen and octopus alike. However, it's large black tipped claws are not to be underestimated. One of my favourite creatures to spot at low tide, tucked into the sand at the edge of tide pools.
Professional watercolours and Pigma Micron pen on Arches cold press archival paper. Paper measures approximately 5.5" x 7.5" with raw edges. There is slight damage to the sheet on the right side that is slightly visible at certain angles - the price is adjusted to reflect this.
